Professor & Head

Dr. P. Sudheer is a highly accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over 17 years of experience in engineering education. With a strong interdisciplinary foundation, he has contributed extensively to the domains of Renewable Energy, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, and Computer Science. He received his Ph.D. from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, where his research focused on hybrid and intelligent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques in photovoltaic systems.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sudheer has served in various academic capacities—from Assistant Professor to Professor and Head of Department—and taken up strategic roles including Board of Studies Chairman, Admissions Coordinator, NBA/NAAC Coordinator, Chief Training & Placement Officer, and Organizer for numerous seminars, FDPs, and workshops.

He has published over 19 papers in international journals, presented more than 17 papers in international conferences, authored a book chapter, and holds a patent. His scholarly contributions have earned him prestigious recognitions such as the Bharat Vikas Award (2017), Research Excellence Award (2018), and multiple Best Paper Awards (2018, 2023, 2024).

Dr. Sudheer is a reviewer for reputed journals and a member of professional bodies like ISTE, IEAE, IAENG, IRED, IFERP, MIAAC, and others. He has also completed certifications from Google, Microsoft, NPTEL, and MNRE, and is committed to staying at the forefront of AI, IoT, Smart Grid, and Solar PV technologies.
