A hearty welcome to the Department of Electronics and communication Engineering at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management studies, chittoor. The department runs undergraduate program Electronics and Communication Engineering and One PG program with VLSI System Design specialization.
The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty. The department strives to impart knowledge and training of the highest standard. The objective of the department is to prepare students for a successful career in Industry, Research and Academics to meet the needs of growing technology. Our efforts are to develop the ability among students to synthesize technical concepts for application to Electronics and communication Engineering. We provide an opportunity for students to work as members of a team on multidisciplinary projects. Electronics and Communication department provides students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies as well as research.

Head of the Department – Electronics and Communication Engineering,
Dr. K. M. Hemambaran, AMIE, M.Tech., Ph.D (ECE)
is a highly accomplished academician and administrator with over 25 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
As the Head of the Department (HOD), he has played a pivotal role in strengthening academic standards, promoting research culture, and enhancing student outcomes. He has been instrumental in establishing and developing various state-of-the-art laboratories, thereby enriching practical learning and supporting innovative research initiatives within the department.
Dr. Hemambaran actively participates in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), seminars, and webinars, ensuring continuous professional growth and adoption of modern teaching methodologies aligned with outcome-based education.
He has made significant research contributions with:
• 12 publications in reputed journals
• 12 international conference publications
• 4 patents in emerging and advanced areas
of Electronics and Communication Engineering
His areas of interest include Communication Systems, Signal and Image Processing, and Emerging Electronic Technologies. He is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, research innovation, industry collaboration, and holistic student development.
Under his leadership, the department continues to progress towards achieving higher standards in academics, research, and institutional recognition.
